How we are changing children’s lives?

Health

PKCAF conducts health education programs that focus on maternal and child health, including the importance of breastfeeding, nutrition, and regular health check-ups. By training health workers and women health volunteers, the organization ensures that children receive the care they need, reducing malnutrition and improving overall health outcomes in the community.

Education

PKCAF supports children’s education by organizing awareness programs for parents on the value of schooling and providing learning resources. By creating safe spaces and supportive environments for children, the organization encourages school attendance and helps children thrive academically, ultimately breaking the cycle of poverty and improving their future prospects.

What people say about us

As a Medical Superintendent (consultant, obstetrician, and gynecologist), the Pokhara Komagane Citizen Association for Friendship (JPP Program) has contributed to our hospital's training and support program in order to provide preventive and promotional services to mothers and children, as well as to competent our health workers. I hope their contribution will help support government strategies for maternal and child health in the future, lowering the Maternal Mortality Ratio.

Matrishishu Miteri Hospital, Pokhara, Nepal

The organization's contribution towards maternal and child health is exceptional. The continuum of care has not only assisted pregnant women in addressing their issues but has also empowered them to be more resilient and confident in seeking care when needed.

Dr. Rojina Paudel

Consultant pediatrician

Matrisishu Miteri Hospital, Pokhara, Nepal

This organization (JICA project) is dedicated to promoting maternal and child health. All nursing staff at Shishuwa Hospital received training on ANC to PNC continuum care, and all staff were oriented on the use of the MCH Handbook. These training programs have empowered us with knowledge and skills. The resource (MCH Handbook) is invaluable for maternal and child health. After the ANC to PNC continuum care training in Baishakh 2081, we began using the MCH Handbook. I am grateful for this program.
